Western Extension restaurants make a difference

Donations have gone towards the Food in a Bottle drive and have been distributed to 98 residents

Western Extension residents have come together to show their support to the Benoni SPCA, Pauline Davies Court and Deneys Conradie Residential during these trying times with donations.

Cheers and The Victorian Secret jumped on board to assist the Guardians and their initiative by spearheading the collection and distribution of donations.

They recently donated blankets, toys and dog and cat food to the Benoni SPCA and distributed clothing, food and blankets to the residents at Pauline Davies and Deneys Conradie.

Dominique McColgan, from the Guardians, said donations have gone towards their Food in a Bottle drive and have been distributed to 98 residents.

“Your continuous support each month has greatly eased the strain put on our community during the pandemic. A big thank you to our anonymous donor of R5 000, your generosity has purchased toiletries that have gone to 131 residents at Pauline Davies,” she said.
