Retirement estate hosts Mardi Gras-themed spring walk

La Vie Care, in collaboration with Fedics, hosted a Mardi Gras-themed spring walk at the Country Life Retirement Estate for the residents and their families on October 3.

Facility manager of La Vie Care Anel du Plessis said they decided to host this walk as a way to bring life back into the community with a colourful theme, while residents enjoyed the outdoors with a 3.5km race with various water points along the route.

Sandra and Vanessa pushed their father, Manny Gomes, along the race course and were happy to spend time with him now they are permitted to visit again.

All participants enjoyed an afternoon of live music, food and spending time with family.
