Daveyton family grateful to have their home renovated
The businesswoman was described as a giving person by her employees and neighbours.
A Daveyton daycare centre owner, Zinada Mfazwe, has opened her heart to renovate one of her worker’s home which was slowly deteriorating.
The employee, Mantsadi Dlamini, stays with her mother Evelina and her daughter Jabulile (15) in the house.
Mantsadi has been working at the Asanda Day Care Centre for the past 11 years.
Zinada said she used to give Mantsadi a lift every afternoon but she wouldn’t want to be dropped off at the house but rather at the corner.
“Then one day I insisted to drop her off at home. I then saw how the house needed to be renovated. There was no fence, the outside wall of the house needed to be painted, inside the house the walls needed to be plastered and the flooring needed work as well,” said Zinada.
“I then asked God to give me strength to renovate the house because Mantsadi has always been a good employee and she has never let me down.”
Zinada said she loves lending a helping hand to those in need, however, she doesn’t want to blow her own trumpet.
“It’s just me saying thank you to Mantsadi,” she added.
A fence was built around the house, the outside wall and roof were painted, and currently, the builders are plastering inside, putting tiles on the floor, and installing plumbing.
Mantsadi and her mother Eveline were let speechless and shed tears of joys when the City Times visited their home.
Mantsadi said she was ashamed of her home and she didn’t want Mfazwe to see it because it was painful to her that she was working but failing to give her mother and daughter a beautiful home.
“I’m so grateful to Zinada, it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t have a job and I am thankful that my family will have a proper home,” she said.
“I use to worry every day when my mother and daughter are home alone because it wasn’t safe without a fence and I would ask them to lock themselves inside as I had fears that it was easy for anyone to come in and rape them.”

Mantsadi said she prays that God blesses Zinada and she thanked her for not giving up on her.
“Most people walk away from those who are poor while they may have the means to help them,” added Zinada.
Mantsadi’s mother, Evelina, tearfully also thanked Zinada for renovating her home.
The businesswoman was described as a giving person by her employees and neighbours.
They said Zinada gives without expecting anything in return and they don’t go to bed hungry thanks to her.
Each and everyone of them had a story to share on how Zinada has made a difference their lives.
One of the neighbours, Seeke ‘Oom Tik’ Mokholo, recently went on an all expensed paid trip to Durban to celebrate his wife, Lizzy’s 84th birthday.
The trip was paid for by Zinada.
Mokholo said it was his first time being in an airplane and he would never forget that experience.
