Volunteer proud to have joined a local NPO

Michelle found TMCP on Facebook and that’s when she decided this was the NPO she would like to assist.

Northmead resident Michelle d’Hotman has recently joined The Murphy Cat Project (TMCP) as a volunteer to assist the NPO with engaging on social media platforms.

“I joined TMCP because I wanted to help make a difference and my boyfriend recommended donating time instead of money,” she explained.

“Some of the things I will be assisting them with is revamping and managing their social media, to help bring in more donations and to encourage adoptions.”

The Murphy Cat Project needs your help

Michelle found TMCP on Facebook and that’s when she decided this was the NPO she would like to assist.

“TMCP is currently the only NPO that I assist, and even though I love all animals, I do have three cats so that should tell you which I prefer,” she chuckled.

Michelle started her own business called Simply Hashtag during the lockdown when she wasn’t sure if she was going to have a job.

“I run Simply Hashtag and work with Robert Harris from Optical Noise Photography to create content for companies and manage their social media,” she said.

“Realising that I could do something as intimidating as starting a small business has been a wonderful experience and I wanted to dedicate my spare time giving back. That’s why I am doing this for TMCP.

“It feels good to help TMCP make animals’ lives better,” she said.

“I look forward to working with all these amazing people and helping the beautiful cats in their care.”
