Etwatwa residents clean up to celebrate environmental day

"This does not not end here, I will encourage them to keep cleaning."

To mark World Environmental Day on June 5, residents of Etwatwa cleaned up various spots in the area.

According to the chairperson of the community-based environmental educator, Vusi Matladi, the campaign was initiated by him and the environmental ward committees in the area.

“The campaign aimed to encourage community members to keep clean the environment in which they live.

“I noticed that many of the areas around the place needed cleaning.

“Seeing members participating in this initiative makes me overjoyed, it shows that they really care about the environment where they are living. I hope this does not end here,” said Matladi.
