Members of the Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) arrested five suspects and recovered five abandoned vehicles.

The squad conducted routine operations from October 30 to November 2, where they arrested the suspects, aged 24 to 35, on charges of being in possession of drugs.

They made the arrests in Etwatwa at Barcelona, Mandela East, Emaphupheni and Albertina sections and confiscated dagga and meth.

Further policing led to the recovery of five vehicles in Daveyton, Umthambeka Section, Thembisa, Ivory Park, Olifantsfontein and Terenure, Kempton Park.

Four of the vehicles had been reported as hijacked while two other was reported as stolen.
