BFS gets drugs off streets

Investigations into these cases continue.

Possession of drugs
• Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) members arrested two men in Kaalfontein Ext 1, Thembisa, after finding them in possession of Mandrax and meth.

• Two men, aged 19 and 25, were arrested on April 14 in Ext 2 and Matsheni informal settlement, Ivory Park. Meth was recovered.

Possession of suspected stolen goods
Following up on information, BFS members arrested a foreign national on April 9 in Aston Manor, Kempton Park.

According to Warrant Officer Grant Giblin, the BFS spokesperson, the suspect was found with 40 boxes of deodorant but could not supply the police with proof of purchase. The goods, valued at about R20 000, and the suspect were handed to the Kempton Park SAPS.
