Volunteer at TAG to change lives

Big or small, every action has the potential to change the lives of others.

Make a difference in an animal’s life.

Mandela Month is in full swing, and The Animal Guardians (TAG) team invites you to make a difference in the lives of all its loving residents through its Inspire Change initiative.

Look at that face. Raymond is a gentle cuddle pooch looking for an able hand to give him unlimited tummy tickles.

Here are some ways you can help:
• Got time to spare?
Bring your friends, your kids or your club and volunteer your time.

Whether you flex your muscles to help with maintenance at the shelter or offer a tender hand to play with the animals in its care, your time can make a difference.

Zeus is a Cane Corso-cross who was, sadly, denied entry into New Zealand. This two-year-old boy loves playing with other furry friends. Strict home checks apply pending adoption.

• Donate food
Fully stocked food shelves ensure the TAG animals and those forming part of its outreach projects are well fed.

Donations of wet or dry dog and cat food are always welcome.

Knitting may not be Gogo B’s strong suit, but she selflessly gives hugs. This Staffy-cross will flourish in a home where she doesn’t have to share treats and affection.

• Change is always welcome
Monetary donations help the animal welfare organisation keep its doors open and able to offer veterinary care to animals in need.

Need a friend that can play all day? Beauty is an energetic Africanis best suited for a home where outdoor play is always the order of the day.

• Get thrifty
Decluttering? Donate all your pre-loved items to the TAG thrift shop. The shop offers a variety of books, clothes and household goods at giveaway prices.

For more information about TAG or to arrange a meet and greet with any featured animals, call Annie Jungmann on 076 330 5736 or visit them on 86 Cloverdene Road, Rynfield AH.
