Beer truck loses its load

Beer bottles were scattered across the road on the N12 exit just before the Kingsway interchange on August 5.

Residents helped themselves to free alcohol after a truck lost control and spilled its load of beer on the N12 exit just before the Kingsway interchange on August 5.

According to Thabiso Makgato, EMPD media liaison officer, the Etwatwa EMPD officers responded to the incident where they found members of the community looting.

Makgato said EMPD Kingsway officers worked in conjunction with SAPS to control traffic and monitor the situation.
