Possession of drugs
Members of the Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) arrested four men between May 12 and 17.

• Officers arrested a 41-year-old in Birch Acres found with four black bags and nine ziplock bags of dagga valued at R6 000.

• Members caught another 41-year-old with 40 Mandrax tablets in Rabie Ridge.

A man arrested in Rabie Ridge had 37 small bags of meth along with money from selling drugs.• Officers arrested a 34-year-old in Rabie Ridge found with 37 ziplock bags of meth.

• Officers arrested a 42-year-old man travelling in a white Toyota Hilux on Snake Road, near Rangeview Road,

Benoni, found with eight large bags of dagga with an estimated value of R120 000.

Seven bags of dagga were found at the back of a Toyota Hilux on Snake Road.

Arrest
Officers arrested a 44-year-old man in Lakefield on May 17 regarding a Benoni SAPS case under investigation.

Patrolling BFS members saw the suspect skip a red traffic light in the CBD and immediately ran the Opel’s number plates, which confirmed that the car was flagged after a case of malicious damage to property. The driver was stopped, arrested and detained at the Benoni Police Station.
