The Tenshinkan Karate’s Dantè Lucas and Carmen Griggs raised the club’s flag during the Shihan Championship at the Brakpan Indoor Sports Centre on May 10.
Lucas claimed a gold in kata and silver in kumite, while Griggs grabbed a silver in kata and bronze in kumite.
Their instructor, shihan Catherine Venter said she’s proud of the girls.
