Spinning, smoke and surprises at Dada brothers’ birthday bash
Over 60 spinners participated in the event.
Global Female Movement (GFM) founder Narina Naidoo expressed her gratitude after the organisation hosted a successful birthday celebration for Team Saluki’s Lorenzo ‘Renzo’ and Dewandro ‘Mano’ Dada.
The event, held on June 15 at The Rock Raceway in Brakpan, saw spinners and spectators from across the country gather to celebrate the brothers in spectacular style.

Naidoo, thrilled by the turnout and support, thanked the Dada brothers from Kuruman for choosing the GFM to organise the spinning and drifting exhibition.
“I’m happy. This shows that the industry trusts us to host successful events. We are a woman-led organisation in a male-dominated industry. For them to choose a Benoni organisation and actually have the celebration here was big for us,” she said.

More than 60 spinners took turns entertaining the sold-out crowd. The venue was soon engulfed in tyre smoke as the sound of screeching rubber and revving engines filled the air. Crowd favourites Katra Mokgoshi and Samkeliso ‘Sam Sam’ Thubane wowed the audience with their high-speed, high-revving stunts.
In a surprise moment that sent the crowd into a frenzy, popular rapper Siyabonga ‘Big Zulu’ Nene made a guest appearance to personally sing happy birthday to the Dada brothers.

“We want to thank Big Zulu for once again making our event special by wishing the boys a happy birthday in person,” said Naidoo. “We had over 60 spinners from around the country. Thanks to everyone for making it a success.”
She added that the GFM’s next event will be a celebration for spinner Katra Mokgoshi.
Naidoo, who is based in Rynsoord, also organises the weekly Wicked Wednesday event at The Rock Raceway.
