Measles scare – CoE runs vaccination campaign
There have been 80 confirmed cases reported so far.

The CoE warns of a surge in measles cases, with 80 recorded to date.
In response, it will run a measles and rubella vaccination campaign for children aged six months to 15 years until September 12.
Here’s what you must do to protect your child:
• Take them to the nearest clinic for vaccination;
• Check ECD centres and school bags for consent forms;
• If your school hasn’t been contacted, contact your school’s health nurse.
These symptoms could indicate that your child has contracted measles:
• Fever;
• Cough and runny nose;
• Red, watery eyes;
• A rash that typically starts on the face and spreads across the body.
