Round Table holds blood drive

The event drew strong support from community members.

In a show of compassion, the Round Table Golden East 181 and the Round Table Boksburg 17 teamed up to host a blood drive at Hennie’s in Northmead, rallying residents to roll up their sleeves for a cause that truly matters.

The event drew strong support from community members, who stepped forward to donate, underscoring the power of collective action in addressing SA’s ongoing blood shortage.


Willie Manning donated blood for the 19th time.

Regular donor Willie Manning of Northmead said donating blood is one of the simplest yet most powerful ways to make a difference.

“I’m donating for the 19th time. I’m doing this to save others,” Manning said.


Sophie Shingange of the SANBS and blood donor Dennis Holder from Pretoria.

Annetjie Holder from Pretoria shared Manning’s sentiments, “Donating blood is important. I’m doing this for a good cause”.

The South African National Blood Service thanked all donors and supporters who made the drive a success, adding that a single unit of blood could help save multiple lives.
