Former journos come say hello to BCT
One of the former staffers freelances for a sister publication, the Knysna-Plett Herald.

Two former City Times journalists popped into our office in Boksburg recently to take a quick trip down memory lane.
Chris van Gass, who lives in Plettenberg Bay and freelances for the Knysna-Plett Herald, and Roy Watson, a resident of Benoni and freelance editor and writer, were warmly welcomed by members of our editorial and production departments on their fleeting visit.

Chris joined BCT at the age of 17 via a request from Roy to his editor at the time, Sidney Gill. Six months later, Chris joined The Star as a cadet reporter.
Roy was a BCT staffer for many years. He recently moved to Rynpark where he has swapped the option of a patio for a study.
They enjoyed a look at our production department and the new-age technology we use to produce our newspapers today.
Both left with a small bundle of commemorative back issues of the newspaper, which they said brought back wonderful memories, and indicated they would love to come to our office to scour our archives for more articles to jog their memories and see their old bylines on articles of yesteryear.
This visit by two former Caxtonites was much appreciated and interesting.
