For the past eight years, Jennifer (Jenny) Cloete has been serving East Rand pensioners every Wednesday at the Benoni Licensing Department.

She hands out the DL1 forms, assists people in filling them in correctly, makes sure everyone is in the correct queue for eye testing, makes copies of IDs, checks paperwork, and shows customers where to go for fingerprints and to make payment.

Thank you, Jenny, for assisting the elderly – always with a smile and willingness from 07:00 to 09:30 every Wednesday.

She will even offer her chair to someone walking with difficulty.

Hint: Take your own folding chair along, as the wait is more than an hour once they open the offices on Wednesdays at 09:00. Also, take your own black pen.

Please show Jenny your appreciation, as she is doing this freely for the community and saves you a lot of frustration.
