Youth called to unite against crime

Through leadership and unity the Youth Desk empowers the youth and builds safer communities.

The Benoni CPF Youth Desk is calling on young men and women aged 18 to 35 to raise their hands to be of service to their community.

“The Youth Desk is a dynamic platform dedicated to crime prevention, community safety and leadership development,” said chairperson of the movement Halima Kadir.

“It plays a vital role in bridging the gap between young people, their communities and law enforcement, while encouraging positive change at the grassroots level.”

Through continued awareness campaigns, school outreach programmes and volunteering, the desk aims to equip young people with the skills and confidence to become active citizens and future leaders.

“Our initiatives focus on promoting unity, responsibility and a shared commitment to building safer neighbourhoods for all,” said Kadir.

“We are looking for youths across the city who are passionate about being of service to join our ranks. Students, actively searching to be employed individuals and young professionals, are all welcome.”

She further encouraged parents, guardians and teachers to support and motive children to become involved in an impactful structure, which offers personal growth and meaningful community engagement.
