Tee off for child welfare
Greater Benoni Child Welfare staff are excited to hold this golf day for a good cause.
The Greater Benoni Child Welfare is inviting the public to take part in its golf day fundraiser on November 18 at the Benoni Country Club.
The golf day is aimed at raising funds to extend Colin House, a temporary safe care facility under the society, based in Northmead.
According to Vanessa Carelse, director of the Greater Benoni Child Welfare, the home which currently has about 24 children, is becoming smaller by the day.
“The need for a more permanent housing facility has become evident,” said Carelse.
The shotgun will start at 11:00 and ten teams are still needed to make the fundraiser a success.
Four balls will cost R3 200, including R60 halfway house voucher as well as a light meal. The society has 15 holes available. All holes will cost R2 800 each.
Attendees can look forward to a raffle and exciting prizes.
The Greater Benoni Child Welfare is also calling for Good Samaritans to donate gifts for goodie bags, auction prizes, cash and voucher donations.
To sponsor a hole, four-ball or donate gift prizes for the day, contact the Benoni Child Welfare at 011 489 5241 or email benonicws@lantic.net.
