Members of the Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) arrested five suspects and recovered four motor vehicles, from November 14 to 21.
Possession of drugs
Three suspects were arrested in separate incidents in Esselen Street, Daveyton, Fourth Avenue, Northmead and Goods Road, Dalview.
Nyaope and Mandrax were recovered.
A 38-year-old man was arrested on 20 November, in Second Avenue, Springs.
Members were responding to information that the suspect was dealing in drugs.
He was found in possession of 61 Mandrax tablets and 16 packets of crystal methamphetamine.
Possession of a stolen vehicle
On November 16 at 23:45, patrolling BFS members pulled over a white Volkswagen Polo with one occupant, before the Putfontein off-ramp.
Investigations revealed that the vehicle was reported hijacked in Cleveland.
The driver was arrested and the vehicle impounded.
Abandoned vehicles
Three abandoned vehicles were recovered.
A blue Toyota Etios was found in Daffodil Street, Farramere and a white Hino truck in Boksburg.
A silver Toyota Corolla Quest was found in Winnie Mandela Zone Two, Thembisa. It was reported as stolen in Olievenhoutbosch.
