Students earn stripes and belt grading

"We are proud of the progress they have made.”

Ove 50 junior jujitsuka earned their stripes and belt promotions during the East Rand Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy grading ceremony in Atlasville on August 1.

According to Anine Lombard, the academy’s junior class has grown tremendously in the past two years.

Lombard gave a special mention to Maximo Chadinha (5), Xavier Neetling (6), Levi Scholtz (7), Connor Cloete (8), Thomas De Klerk (8), Daniel Mckelvey (12), Luc Uys (11) and Jedd Byrne (12)

“They stepped up at the grading, earning their hard earned stripes and belt promotions. We are proud of the progress they have made,” she said.
