Great service from SAPS

Mr J C and Mrs C Harmse write by email:

We came home from visiting my sister-in-law’s home on July 20, about 8.45pm, just to find that our house had been robbed — including my husband’s Toyota Hilux Bakkie.

We didn’t go in because the front door was broken and we thought the “perps” may still have been inside.

We didn’t even think about calling police first, we called my sister-in-law first and she asked if she should call them, and we said yes.

She called them in five minutes and we didn’t even wait 10 minutes before WO T W Sithole and Const M E Gumani, from the Benoni SAPS, were at our home.

The reason I’m writing is because nowadays the police are taking their time to come out and not answering phones in times of in need, but these two officers were so fast and they were gentlemen.

The first thing they asked was if we are fine — and they can spell!

They even said that we should call at any time if things aren’t right and they don’t care how many times, even if it’s for nothing, it is their job…

I’m sending their names and surnames to specifically thank these two men for their service and for caring and, if possible, so that you can thank them in the paper for that please.

Just so people can see that members of the Benoni SAPS aren’t all that lazy and non-caring.
