I wish to comment on the fact that the water pressure is often low in the mornings in Western Extension, and usually rises again in the afternoon.
A municipal plumber once told me that the water pressure in Benoni is lower because the municipality is not keeping its water reservoirs as full as it previously did, as Ekuhurleni can no longer afford to make large bulk payments to Rand Water Board, as it previously could.
Another reason given by another plumber is that the municipality has reduced water pressure due to the aged water pipe infrastructure, in order to reduce the number of burst pipes.
I cannot comment on the correctness of the two reasons given.
