I would like to share my amazing story. As there is so much negativity around these days, it will lift your spirits.
Last Saturday, I took a friend to the Benoni Library and sat down and read while she looked for new books.
The electricity went off so we had to leave without any books and, at that stage, I did not know that my purse had fallen out of my bag.
Only while shopping a little later did I realise my purse was gone with cash, all of my cards and unchecked lotto tickets, but, worst of all, my driver’s licence.
First thing Monday morning I contacted the library and was assisted by Cheryl, from the children’s section, who kindly went up to adults to see if she could find my purse — sadly to no avail.
However, on Wednesday morning, I received a call from Sheldon, at the library, to tell me they had found my purse with all contents intact.
How lucky is that and how wonderfully helpful and honest are the staff at Benoni Library for going out of their way?
So, I would like to thank Cheryl, Sheldon and the young security guard, through our local media, for restoring my faith in human nature.
Many thanks
