In the past couple of issues I have noticed a number of complaints regarding landlords/estate agents not refunding deposits.
Having fallen victim to the very same thing, I would like to advise everyone who is fighting this battle that, though time consuming, there is help out there.
Let’s all stand together and stop this money-making scheme they all seem to have going.
Visit the Rental Tribunal Board or Estate Agency Affairs Board online, and go through the process.
They are both very helpful and will give you the much needed advice and help for free, should they feel it is a legitimate case.
I did it and am reaping the pleasure of proving that we will not be bullied into giving up our hard earned money.
