I have been living in Rynfield for the past five years now, and the street lamps all around the intersections at the end of Atlas Road (heading toward R21-Pretoria) and Dann Road have not been switched on since I can remember!
Driving past there at night is quite dangerous — not only because of the absence of lighting, but also because of the maniacs who speed or forever jump the red robots!
Now my questions are :”Who is the ward councillor for that particular area?” and “Why hasn’t he/she been fired yet?”
I’d also like to mention the street lamps on Great North Road — heading towards Benoni CBD — which some genius engineer or someone has facing sideways and shining onto the pavement instead of the roads on either side!
It would seem that we don’t have “very bright”” people working in the respective departments here — excuse the pun!
