Staying active can prove to be a difficult task when work has you busy 24/7 or the children at home need to be bathed and prepared for school the next day.

But there is always time to stay active, even if it is only 30 minutes out of your day.

With different locations all over South Africa and the rest of the world, people partake from near and far and even dogs can run along.

So why not bring the whole family and give yourself one challenge, to participate in at least one parkrun a month.

Starting small, let the running bug bite and by next year you are running the Comrades.

Ekurhuleni’s parkrun locations include Atlasville, Homestead Lake, Ebotse, Boksburg, Leeupan, Brakpan, Springs, Bulithando, Tsakane, Rondebult, Victoria Lake, Gillooly’s Farm, Edenvale, Meyers Farm, Bapsfontein, Riverfields and Midstream.
