Local wins veteran singles
Bowls player from Benoni Country Club claimed the Champion of Champions wins at the most recent bowl competition.
Benoni Country Club (BCC) bowler Peter Stopforth recently won the Ekurhuleni Veteran Champion of Champions held at Modderfontein Bowling Club on October 9 and 10.
He beat Ronaldo Taljaard 21-15 in the final.
Karen Thomas and Cheryl Patterson from BCC lost in the semi-finals of the ladies singles and novices.
Jakkie Reeve and Harry Hawkins also represented BCC over that weekend in the open singles.
