A record table set for <2000

Greyville Racecourse made the Guinness Book of World Records by hosting more than 2000 people at a long dining table.

THE Greyville Exhibition and Events Company, based at Greyville Racecourse, has beaten the existing record Guinness Book of World Records, by setting a new record for having the longest dining table with guests.

The new ground-breaking record for the longest dining table is 2078 metres.

Despite the grey, rainy weather, this event was well supported and locals flocked to Greyville Racecourse on Monday 27 April to be a part of this historic occasion, sharing picnic baskets and meals with family and friends.
