Rain holds out for Parlotones concert
The Parlotones performed to a enthusiastic crowd of fans on Sunday, who were undeterred by the overcast weather.
DESPITE the dreary weather on Sunday, fans of one of South Africa’s most popular music groups, The Parlotones, flocked to Durban Botanic Gardens to see the group perform.
This special performance announced the first show of The Parlotones Orchestrated tour. The tour will see the band take their hits to venues across the country in a scintillating display of contemporary yet classical versions of their extensive discography, together with a chamber ensemble which has been arranged.
Indie pop band Al Bairre opened the show for The Parlotones. They were newcomers to the garden, and entertained with their combination of cello, violin, guitars, keys, and drums.
