THE weekend’s Durban Port Festival saw hundreds of Durban families enjoy some winter fun in the sun with a hub of activity. The festival featured live music and entertainment including performances by Mi Casa, Zakes Bantwini, the Drakensberg Boys Choir and Qadasi, as well as a special kids’ zone, water craft displays and tours, South African Navy vessels.

The highlight for many locals was the tour of the two South African Navy vessels, SAS PROTEA and SAS ISAAC DYOBHA, which was open for the publicto board and view throughout the festival weekend. The vessels berthed at the Durban cruise terminal in port as part of the Navy’s World Hydrography Day celebrations was a huge hit for #selfies. The SA Navy also had its diving display tank present on site for the public to interact with their friendly SA Navy divers.
