Tea party raises funds for CHOC

CHOC Ambassador, Kjersti Skanke, hosted a fundraiser to raise money for children with cancer.

A CHOC ambassador hosted a fundraising tea party on Saturday to raise money for CHOC (Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa).

Kjersti Skanke, whose toddler, Aksel, has fought a battle with cancer and overcome i

t, hosted the Cows tea party, where women enjoyed fun games, a talk by Gill Kemp on the work that CHOC does in KZN as well as on signs and symptoms of childhood cancer, and watched a moving video about the organisation.

The women then drew and coloured in cow faces on paper plates, and spent time chatting over tea, coffee and delicious eats.

In line with cancer awareness month, the money raised from the tea party will go towards the children at CHOC and their needs.
