Man killed in Glenwood shooting

A MAN was killed in shooting at Glenwood’s Helen Joseph (Davenport) Road this afternoon.

According to Rescue Care operations director, Garrith Jamieson, paramedics were called to a shooting in Davenport Road this afternoon around 4pm.

“On arrival they found that a man had been shot for unknown reasons. Advanced life support paramedics worked to stabilise him on scene before rushing him through to a nearby hospital, however a short while later he went into cardiac arrest. Despite paramedics’ and doctors’ attempts to save the man, he unfortunately passed away in hospital,” explained Jamieson.

The SAPS was on the scene and will be doing a thorough investigation into the shooting.
