Beware of conman

A RESIDENT in Che Guevara Road (Moore Road) has warned local community members to be on the lookout for a man who calls himself Sipho, and spins a convincing story asking for money.

According to the woman who did not want to be named, the man had conned her late mum, pretending to know her and claiming he had worked at their block of flats in an attempt to gain access to the building. The woman said the man appeared to have a file of residences in the area which he used as a reference while trying to con them out of money. The woman said the man is well dressed and has the gift of the gab. She adviced residents not to give money to anyone they did not know.
