Clifton boys perform in Italy

Clifton School boys were part of the winning KZN Youth Choir that competed at the Florence International Choir Festival

THE KZN Youth Choir took part in the 2nd Florence International Choir Festival held in Florence, Italy from 24 to 26 July, a prestigious event with the patronage of the City of Florence.

The festival welcomed more than 20 choirs from all over the world including Belgium, Belarus, Bulgaria, China , Greece, Japan, Indonesia, Italy, Latvia, Puerto Rico, Russia, South Africa, Sweden, Taiwan, Ukraine and Turkey.

Sean Mitchell, Temi Adewusi, Oliver Druce, Tomi Adewusi and Dein-Conrad O’Toole from Clifton School were part of the choir, which competed in four categories and won the Chamber choir category, competing against Taiwan and in Best Contemporary Arrangement for Sounds of Africa.
