Fashion bandana fun
Maris Stella held an Indiana Bandana Fashion Show in aid of The Sunflower Fund.
MARIS Stella hosted their annual Sunflower Fund Fashion Show for the Prep and High Schools recently. Each class was represented by a model who interpreted the theme ‘Indiana Bandana’.
The winning class in the Prep School category was 4D with model was Jamie Theron, while the winning High School class was 9P whose model was Makube Mthembu. The winning classes were treated to delicious ice-cream from sponsor’s Freddos and pizza from Spiga d’Oro Restaurant.
The fashion show was just one of the activities taking place in aid of The Sunflower Fund at Maris Stella. All the pupils wore civies and bandanas, many wearing outfits made from bandanas. The Junior Primary and pre-school also enjoyed a picnic and iced cupcakes.
A total of R24 200 was raised for The Sunflower Fund through the sale of Sunflower bandanas, cupcakes and race entries into the annual 5km Hyper fun run in aid of The Sunflower Fund.
The Sunflower Fund extended its thanks to Maris Stella for enabling them to give hope to children and young adults diagnosed with leukaemia. For more information on becoming a bone marrow stem cell donor contact toll free 0800 12 10 82 or visit www.sunflowerfund.org.za
