Addington Primary gets needed boost from ABSA

Addington Primary School received a generous donation from ABSA.

ADDINGTON Primary School got a welcomed boost from ABSA Bank in the sum of R50 000 recently.

Neresha Pillay, Branch Manager of ABSA Durban City said the donation was part of the bank’s CSI project and close to the hearts of the staff. “The entire staff at our branch put heart and time into the school ever since we adopted them as our CSI. They come through to paint or teach the pupils how to save,” said Pillay after the handover.

Raj Moodley, principal of Addington said the school was happy and blessed to have ABSA support them so generously.

ABSA has previously donated books, assisted with the opening of the school’s library and has also sponsored trophies for the school’s sports day. This was the first year that top runners who came first in the 60m to 800m races received anything for their sterling achievements on the sports field.
