Glenwood excellence awards

Glenwood High School held a successful senior speech and prizegiving evening last Thursday, with Naushad Mayat receiving the Dux of the School.

GLENWOOD High School matrics enjoyed a special evening at their annual Senior Speech Day and Prize Giving on Thursday, 17 October at the school’s Mvinjelwa Johannes Mhlongo Hall.

The guest speaker for the evening was Andreas Coutsoudis (Advocate and Old Boy). Coutsoudis handed the prizes to the prize winners. The Varsity College Bursary was awarded to Robert Peacock and Garth Cahill won the Max Sandler Memorial Goodfellowship Bursary. Various other awards were handed out on the evening to recognise the excellence of the boys.

The current head prefect, Callan Pearce announced Christopher Bredell as head prefect for 2014, while top honours went to Naushad Mayat, who was the Dux of the School and received the JH Snow Memorial Prize.
