Old girls launch cook book
St Anne's old girls have collaborated to launch a cook book.
A fabulous idea born 18 months ago over a glass of wine at a St Anne’s old girls’ reunion, has come to fruition. A Dainty Morsel – The St Anne’s Old Girls Cookbook is authored by old girls of St Annes, Theresa Rattray and Sally Chance.
Old girls as well as current pupils of St Anne’s sent their favourite recipes, which Rattray tested after which 65 were chosen for the book. The recipes have a story or anecdote attached. The chapters are divided into different functions at St Anne’s like the matric ball, Hilton vs Michaelhouse rugby picnic and so on.
“It took 18 months of negotiating and cooking and hours of photography and styling. Sally did all the photography. Our designer Matt Sutherland was instrumental in creating this beautiful book,” said Rattray.
A portion from every book sold is being donated to the St Anne’s Old Girls’ Bursary fund, which helps finance pupils who would not be able to attend the school.
The official launch was held recently in Essenwood Road.
