Port Natal empowers pupils

The lifestyle education programme and prevention programmes empower pupils.

AS part of Port Natal School’s lifestyle education programme, prevention programmes are used to equip pupils for a healthy, safe and drug-free future.

The workshops are designed to empower pupils on a variety of topics such as bullying, violence, crisis response, management, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, pornography, relationships, eating disorders, health and more.

The school aims to equip the pupils with knowledge and skills to make healthy decisions and proud choices that will give them a new level of confidence and self-worth.

Port Natal School believes that if staff want children to lead in the 21st century, nothing is more important than giving them the skills that will enable them to be successful.

A recent workshop was facilitated by Rev Diek Venter. Rev Venter also provides professional therapy and counselling at Port Natal School to support the children and to help them resolve emotional, social or behaviour problems.

Rev Venter is a well-known minister in the school area who has many years of experience working with children and young people.
