New head for Clifton

Victor White will take over leadership of Clifton Prep next January.

CLIFTON School has announced the appointment of Victor White as principal of the Preparatory School.

White, who is currently the headmaster of Kyalami Preparatory School in Johannesburg, will be joining Clifton in January to continue the fine tradition that has been in place for the past 90 years. He has extensive experience in leading all aspects of the curriculum, as well as a deep understanding of the particular challenges, demands and delights that are unique to independent education.

White began his teaching career in Johannesburg at Montrose Primary School in 1990 and moved to The Ridge in 1992. While at The Ridge, he was appointed Third Master and Head of the Boarding Establishment before moving to Beaulieu Preparatory School as Deputy Headmaster in 1999. He took over as Headmaster of Kyalami Prep in 2002.

Chairman of the Board of Directors, Simon Downes, said: “We look forward to welcoming V Mr White and his family to Clifton, where we are sure that they will enjoy many happy years at our wonderful school.”
