Municipality warns of banking hoax

A hoax letter regarding changes to municipal banking details is being circulated.

THE public is urged to be aware of a fraudulent two page letter being circulated notifying customers of alleged changes to the City’s banking details.

According to eThekwini Municipality’s Head of Communications, Tozi Mthethwa, the first page bears the incorrect Municipal logo with an unknown address while the second page is a letter allegedly signed by ABSA bank.
