Talk focuses on interesting treest at Botanic Gardens
Dr Hugh Glen will amaze with his knowledge and amuse with his anecdotes as he shows visitors a few of his favourite trees.
A GUIDED walk entitled Interesting Trees of the Durban Botanic Gardens takes place on Saturday, 9 November at 9.30am.
Dr Hugh Glen will share his knowledge and amuse with his anecdotes as he shows visitors a few of his favourite trees, many of which have amazing stories attached. Foodies will enjoy seeing some of their much-loved ingredients live, such as cinnamon, chocolate and the colour used in cheddar cheese. He considers the sad story of the world’s loneliest tree, as well as an elderly lala palm, and one that inspired a previous group to sing old advertising jingles from Springbok Radio. Who ever said trees weren’t well-connected?

The walk will be supported by the Durban Botanic Gardens’ Education Department.
