Committee announced at gala dinner

The KwaZulu-Natal Blind and Deaf Society hosted a gala dinner on 22 November.

KZN Blind and Deaf Society hosted a gala dinner at Durban ICC recently.

The keynote speaker was Judge Navanethem Pillay, master of ceremonies was Alan Khan, and guests enjoyed the vibrant and spectacular performance of the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra.

The KZN Blind and Deaf Society also announced its new president, trustees, and executive committee at the event.

In an 83 year history of a previously male-dominated organisation, the society announced its first woman president, Veetha Sewkuran. Deputy president is Lalit Mehta, committee members are Anoosha Hanuman, Deep Nundkissore and Nevil BalaKrishna and the trustees are Eshu Seevnarayan, Ashok Sewnarain, Raven Harkoo and Vinesh Gokool.
