Women honoured at event

The heroines of Durban were honoured at the Arise Queen of Africa event.

TO honour the unsung heroines in the Durban community, an Arise Queen of Africa event was held recently.

Event founder, Evelyn Naidoo, explained that this was a way to acknowledge women in the community who have done selfless work to better the lives of others. Thora Mansfield, Rattima Nokulunga Malinga, Fawzia Peer, Valerie Govender and Margaret Hirsch were just some of the women who were honoured in the humanitarian category.

Evelyn said: “We were delighted to acknowledge these wonderful women in our community for the selfless work they do.”

Margaret Hirsch congratulated Evelyn on a fantastic event and thanked her for honouring her with such a prestigious award.
