Attend Hurley Weekend

The Annual Hurley Weekend and stakeholders' meeting will be held this weekend.

THIS year’s ‘Hurley Weekend’ is on 8 and 9 February, and continues the tradition, started by Paddy Kearney, of honouring Archbishop Hurley one weekend near the anniversary of his death on 13 February.

On Saturday, 8 February at 3pm the Denis Hurley Centre (DHC) Annual Stakeholders’ Meeting takes place. All are welcome.

The Director, Raymond Perrier, will provide a review of the year’s work and finances and explain plans for the future. Guest of honour is Hon Dr Zweli Mkhize, national Minister of Health.

After the AGM, at 5.30pm there will be a Mass and a candle-light procession to the shrine of Archbishop Hurley.

At that Mass, and at the Cathedral Masses on Sunday, 9 February (7.45am, 10am and noon), the guest preacher will be Rt Rev William Slattery OFM, emeritus Archbishop of Pretoria.
