Youth forum creates awareness
Religions for Peace Interfaith Youth Climate Forum created awareness on climate change at a tree planting in Glenwood.
RELIGIONS for Peace Interfaith Youth Climate Forum (IYCF) recently celebrated the Festival of Ayyam-i-Ha at the Baha’i Centre in Glenwood, holding a tree planting ceremony and faith campaign with the Baha’i community.
The event kicked off with a Baha’i prayer and worship, and the IYCF created awareness on climate change with video presentations and shared information on their campaign to mobilise people to take action on climate change, especially the youth.
The programme ended with a planting of the indigenious tree called Albizia adianthifolia (flat-crown Albizia) donated by IYCF to the Baha’i centre. Spekboom samplings donated by Sukyo Mahikari were also distributed to everyone who attended.
