Matrics: Apply for Sasol bursaries

IF you are currently in matric and are not sure which university course is right for you, Sasol is urging learners to consider studying Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects, and is providing all-inclusive bursaries to support students who choose this path.
Monica Luwes, Manager of Graduate Centre at Sasol, said there is increased demand for STEM skills in South Africa.
According to the New York Academy of Sciences, Sub-Saharan Africa requires 2.5 million more engineers to “address the continent’s gravest development problems”.
This will make it easier for you to find a job and a rewarding career. Your skills in science, technology and problem solving can be used across various fields, which means you have a broad choice of where to work, and in which market.

Not only does the Sasol bursary programme cover the costs of your studies and living expenses, bursars also have the opportunity to be part of the Sasol Graduate Development Programme, which will provide you with on-the-job training at Sasol upon completion of your studies.
If you want to pursue a degree in STEM, apply now for a Sasol a bursary. The deadline for applications is 30 April. The programme is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students hoping to study a degree in engineering and science.
This bursary is also open for those wishing to pursue engineering studies at a university of technology.
The bursary covers tuition fees, accommodation, meals, textbooks and pocket money. Sasol bursars also receive allowances for study tools such as laptops and calculators, and comprehensive bursar support. To apply, register online at: https://www.sasolbursaries.com.
