According to Sgt Zanele Khomo from Durban Central SAPS, on Wednesday, 25 March at around 1.30pm, four suspects tried to hijack a vehicle in Harvey Drive, Morningside.
The occupants in the vehicle screamed and neighbours were alerted.
“The suspects were disturbed and could not take the vehicle, but had allegedly taken the driver’s cellphone and made off in their getaway vehicle. Members of Durban Central Field Unit and K9 Unit were alerted and gave chase,” said Khomo.
