Book fair goes ahead despite rain

The Durban Book Fair is held on the first Sunday of every month.

THE Durban Book Fair was held at Mitchell Park on Sunday, 1 November, in conjunction with the Green Diwali Festival.

The public enjoyed the launches of local books such as Shan Lee’s Love Leiyah, Chris Smith’s Blood on the Range, and The Function of Apartheid, by Kesh Suku, and supported the local booksellers, Street Lit as well as authors selling their books on site.

Visitors took part in events at the festival including yoga and dance and enjoyed music, workshops, lectures and cooking demos.
