“Our sponsor has issued more than 150 sets of kits to Marine Lifesaving Club. That is the number of active duty members we have patrolling the beaches. It’s a large section of beach to cover and the team is fantastic. We have a squad on duty every Saturday, Sunday and on public holidays,” said Bond.

“We want to thank our sponsor for coming on board with this sponsorship. The kits are going to look awesome,” he added.
Dhaya Sewduth, president for Lifesaving South Africa said the duty kit roll out will reach voluntary lifesaving clubs across South Africa ahead of their National Championships from October 2 to 9.
“Lifesaving South Africa runs the water smart programme, which involves educating school children on water safety and drowning prevention. We sponsor unemployed lifeguards to go and teach water safety in schools,” added Sewduth.
